The Next-Generation Standard:NITTOSEIKO Introduces the KX-R1
Series of Current-Controlled Nutrunners

NITTOSEIKO CO., LTD. (Head Office: Ayabe, Kyoto, Japan; President: Makoto Araga; Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market) today announced that it will launch the KX-R1 Series, a new line of current-controlled nutrunners, on November 10, 2026.
For more information about the company, visit https://global.nittoseiko.com/.
The KX-R1 Series is the third generation of NITTOSEIKO’s KX nutrunner lineup, following the original KX Driver introduced in 1998 and the KX Driver T2 Series launched in 2010.
Building on the proven current-control platform, the new series delivers improved core performance together with a redesigned interface for easier operation.

Key Features

1.Faster Screwdriving Boosts Productivity and Significantly Shortens Cycle Times

The redesigned motor-control system and optimized current-control algorithm increase maximum speed and reduce screwdriving time.
This reduction shortens overall cycle time and increases production-line throughput.

Shorter operating times also reduce energy consumption, contributing to lower CO₂ emissions.

2.Precision Screwdriving Ensures Consistent Quality and Reduces the Risk of Defects

Advanced motor control and optimized control logic significantly improve torque repeatability, helping increase the process capability index (Cp).

3.Enhanced Visibility Improves Maintainability and Reduces Equipment Downtime

The NR100C controller features a bright, self-emissive OLED display with excellent contrast.
Torque, angle,
screwdriving time, and other results are available at a glance on a single screen.
Error details and event histories can
also be reviewed on screen, helping operators identify causes more quickly and minimize equipment downtime.

<Information Available on the Display>

◆ Screwdriving results, including torque, angle, and time ◆ Program number
◆ Current process (rundown, final
tightening, etc.) ◆ NotOK history ◆ Alarm history
◆ Screwdriving and system parameter viewing/editing ◆ I/O
and communication status
◆ Other information

4.Empower Operators to Improve Processes with Drag-and-Drop Programming

The KX-R1 Series uses Blockly—widely adopted in education and software development—for custom screwdriving programs.
Users can create specialized screwdriving sequences through intuitive drag-and-drop operations, without
conventional coding.
Judgment criteria can also be added or revised easily, enabling faster adaptation to process
changes and corrective actions.

Specifications

*1 The ■ in the model number identifies the output-shaft configuration:M = M8 female thread; H = 6.35 mm hex socket; S = 9.5 mm square drive.
The KX500R1 uses a
12.7 mm square drive.
The KX500R1 is available only with a 12.7 mm square drive; M8 female-thread and hex-socket versions are not offered.
The ** in the model number denotes NITTOSEIKO’s internal control number.

*2 Performance must be verified on the actual equipment for short screwdriving cycles or applications requiring sustained torque above a specified level,
such as tapping
screws. Please contact a NITTOSEIKO sales representative.

*3 The ** in the model number denotes NITTOSEIKO’s internal control number.

*4 The main circuit and control circuit must be supplied from the same power source.
*5 Power capacity varies by model.
