Are all screws the same?

As described in “Let's learn about the parts, names, and dimensions of screws”, there are various factors such as the shape of the head, the shape of the drive unit, the shape of the threaded part (helix), and the material, and there are as many as 90,000 types of screws manufactured by NITTOSEIKO.

At first glance, screws may appear to be simple and identical, but evolution is still continuing, and even as we speak, new screws are being developed all over the world!

Ultra-small screw

Have you ever seen a screw this small? If you look closely at the photo below, you can see a screw on top of a one yen coin. This is an ultra-small screw with a nominal diameter of 0.6 mm, which is beyond “micro screws”.In fact, the head of this micro screw has a cross hole (+ hole) just like an ordinary screw, and there is even a screwdriver to tighten and loosen such a tiny screw.

There are still many screws in the world that you have never seen before!
